Born smack dab in the middle of natural scene-stealers North West, 5, and Penelope Disick, 7, and "the triplets", Chicago West, 22 months, Stormi Webster, 22 months, and True Thompson, 19 months, can make finding the spotlight challenging. And then there were the efforts by Mom Kim Kardashian to give her baby boy some semblance of a normal life, intentionally holding back on sharing his likeness to social media so that he could attempt to blend when out without his famous folks. "So truly, I was not posting about my son because I wanted him to be able to go to the park every single day like a normal human being and nobody knows who he is," Kim admitted at the BlogHer 16 conference, some eight months after Saint's December 2015 … [Read more...] about Every Time Kim Kardashian’s Son Saint West Was a Big Mood

Sniffing out poachers in the Mara to save animals
By LEOPOLD OBI More by this Author At the Maasai Mara Game Reserve’s Oloololo Gate, Garvey, a Labrador must sniff at all the vehicles entering and leaving the conservancy. By this simple act, the dog has helped reduce poaching at the reserve. Recently, it successfully detected gun cartridges that had been used to kill an elephant in Nyakweri Forest, leading to the recovery of a bundle of ivory. It also helped identify cartridges in two separate robberies in the vicinity of the Trans Mara conservancy. Unfortunately, after five years on the job, Garvey is due for retirement. The rangers who have worked with the dog will be sad to see it go. But Ntayia Langas, who heads the dog unit in the Mara Triangle, is upbeat, saying they have a squad of well-trained, energetic puppies to take over from their venerable mate. They have three Bloodhound and Labrador puppies being trained to sniff out poachers by American experts. But now I could encounter deer. I wondered what else was roaming the streets of D.C.? To find out, I began my journey to photograph every animal in The Division 2. It was harder than I expected. Deer Advertisement I can’t tell you what kind of deer this is specifically, but it is certainly a deer. These were relatively easy to photograph. I found a deer stuck on some geometry, at night, next to a spotlight on the ground. It was perfect timing. I snapped a picture and then the deer kept staring at me. It didn’t move or leave. It just stared. I left the area but I don’t know if that deer ever escaped their fate. Maybe I should … [Read more...] about My Journey To Photograph All The Wildlife In
