SINGAPORE: Albirex Niigata were crowned Singapore Premier League (SPL) champions on Saturday (Dec 5), making it the sixth consecutive season that a foreign team has won the league. Albirex clinched the title following their 1-0 victory over Hougang United, with Ryoya Taniguchi scoring the only goal. Meanwhile, Tampines Rovers, who entered the final round of matches a point behind the Japanese side, were held 1-1 by Geylang International. OBERSTDORF, Germany: Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo led a clean sweep of the individual sprint medals for Norway at the FIS Nordic Skiing World Championships on Thursday, and Jonna Sundling of Sweden stormed to victory in the women's race in unseasonably warm conditions. Klaebo, who won gold in the individual sprint at the 2018 Olympics and the 2019 World Championships, put on a final spurt in the home straight to beat fellow Norwegians Erik Valnes and Haavard Solaas Taugboel in bright sunshine on a slushy course. SINGAPORE: Around 930,000 Singaporean Housing and Development Board (HDB) households will receive S$132 million worth of Service and Conservancy Charges (S&CC) rebates in the 2019 financial year (from April 2019 to March 2020). In a news release on Wednesday (Mar 27), the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said that in total, each eligible household will receive 1.5 to 3.5 months of S&CC rebate, depending on flat type. The rebate was announced during Budget 2019 , and is intended to help households with expenses.
