During an appearance Wednesday on Huntsville, AL radio’s WVNN, Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) offered his reactions to the Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on his investigation into the handling of the investigation into President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.Jones, a former U.S. Attorney during the Clinton administration, acknowledged there was fault with regards to the handling of FISA warrants but argued Attorney General William Barr’s reaction and efforts were “a little bit too far.” “[Y]ou know the inspectors general’s office throughout the federal government is an independent office that is supposed to do independent work,” Jones said. “And I think from what I can tell, that is exactly what happened here. Horowitz is a long-time independent employee with the Justice Department as inspector general finding that there was an appropriate way this investigation should have started and … [Read more...] about Doug Jones on IG Report: ‘There Was Fault’ with FISA Process but AG Barr ‘Has Gone a Little Bit Too Far’

Amol Parashar: Engineering is all about chilling and a little bit of studying
Everything except engineering came back to Amol Parashar’s memory when we took him to Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D), his alma mater, recently. Amol, an IIT graduate who was seen in 'Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year', was in the city for an event when we spoke to him about his college, the place where his tryst with theatre and acting started. Getting nostalgic about his college days, Amol tells us, “Everything except engineering comes back to me as I look at the college gates. Hum SDA aate thay to mostly chill and bunk classes and tuitions. I have had a lot of fun in Delhi. I think engineering is about chilling and a little bit of studying, and that’s what I did.” ‘I got 238th rank in Jee, was not expecting that’ Reminiscing about his days in IIT-D, Amol said that the pressure inside IITs is usually lesser than the pressure people take while preparing for the entrances. “I don’t think there is as much pressure inside as … [Read more...] about Amol Parashar: Engineering is all about chilling and a little bit of studying
‘He was the size of a can of Coke’: Mother, 34, who gave birth to her baby boy at just 23 weeks reveals how her son miraculously defied the odds to survive
Little Luca was born prematurely at 23 weeks weighing just a tiny 416 grams A 34-year-old mother who gave birth to her baby boy at 23 weeks weighing just 416 grams has spoken out about how her son miraculously defied the odds of survival. Lia Calzuola, from Queensland, went into labour at 22 weeks after she experienced heavy bleeding and excruciating cramps. The family were warned their baby was not expected to last any longer than 48 hours after birth, and if he did live, he would most likely suffer bleeding on the brain. But against all odds, little Luca was still alive 48 hours after he was born prematurely. 'He was the size of a can of Coke plus his little head and he weighed less than a tub of butter,' Ms Calzuola told Daily Mail Australia. 'He was very tiny at the time so it's hard to believe Luca was perfect in every way, just a tiny version of a baby. He is gorgeous.' Lia Calzuola and her partner Jay welcomed their baby son after undergoing IVF treatment Nearly two years on, … [Read more...] about ‘He was the size of a can of Coke’: Mother, 34, who gave birth to her baby boy at just 23 weeks reveals how her son miraculously defied the odds to survive
Isn’t Just a ‘Feel-Good Show’
Photo: Amazon Studios The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which premiered its second season earlier this month on Amazon, is one of the most unabashedly colorful and kinetic series on television right now. And it also happens to be one where the creators and executive producers — the married team of Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino — often direct, co-write, and produce the episodes. It’s as much of an auteurist statement as a series like Atlanta or True Detective, although the light tone and emphasis on banter and shenanigans tends to obscure that. We spent an hour on the phone with the Palladinos, who are currently planning out the stories for season three, to ask them some specific (in some cases, very nerdy) questions about the look and sound of the show, the tone of it, and the overall vibe. Their answers were illuminating and surprising. I wanted to start by asking about the first episode of season two. It opens with a two-and-a-half minute long take traveling … [Read more...] about Isn’t Just a ‘Feel-Good Show’
