Concealed Carry Reciprocity: Why a Virginia Democrat’s Opposition Matters

U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.), a past supporter of loosening firearms restrictions, has declared his opposition to allowing concealed carry laws to be applied nationwide. The GOP-backed legislation, known as national concealed carry reciprocity, is one of the National Rifle Association's top federal legislative priorities under President Donald Trump. Johnson & Johnson COVID Vaccine Shipment Likely Coming To Massachusetts Next Week, Baker Says

BOSTON (CBS) – Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said that while the state expects to receive its first shipment of the recently approved Johnson & Johnson single-shot COVID vaccine next week, the distribution plan for the immediate future remains “a little bit up in the air.” The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Vaccine Advisory Board voted unanimously Sunday to greenlight Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine. Thousands Of Boston Students Return To In-Person Learning This Week

BOSTON (CBS) – Thousands of students in Boston will head back to school Monday for the first time in nearly a year. Hybrid learning begins for students in Pre-K through third grade. In two weeks, grades 4 through 8 will be welcomed back, followed by high school students on March 29th. Armed Masked Men Rob Milford Smoke Shop Then Crash Getaway Car

MILFORD (CBS) – Milford Police are looking for three people wanted for an armed robbery at a smoke shop that was recorded on video. Two masked men, each armed with a handgun, went into the store on Medway Road just after 8 p.m. Sunday and threatened the two employees while a third person waited outside in a getaway car. The suspects ran away.  The driver of the other car was taken to Milford Hospital with injuries. Police later posted video of the robbery on their Facebook page hoping to generate leads. Warm weather draws crowds in some cities as parts of US start easing COVID-19 lockdowns

WASHINGTON, DC: Sunny days and warm weather are proving to be as challenging to manage as restaurants, hair salons and other businesses, as about half of US states partially reopen their economies after the COVID-19 lockdown. On Saturday, thousands of people gathered on the National Mall in Washington to view a US Navy flyover to honour healthcare workers and others battling the pandemic. In New York City, the warmest weather yet this spring caused picnickers and sunbathers to flock to green spaces in Manhattan, including crowded conditions at the Christopher Street Pier in Greenwich Village, according to photos on social media. Last week, California ordered beaches in Orange County to close, after crowds defied public health guidelines to throng the popular shoreline. Police in the county's Huntington Beach said people were complying on Sunday (May 3).
