MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Have you ever seen a Florida panther? The answer is probably ‘no’ for most of us because the official state animal of Florida is elusive, shy, and endangered. But one Florida man, who was definitely in the right place at the right time, spotted five of them in a single day and four of them were at the same time! A man facing a charge of aggravated robbery has walked free after the New Plymouth District Court was told the complaint was false. Terrence Riddle appeared before Judge Gregory Hikaka in the New Plymouth District Court on January 14 facing a charge of aggravated robbery and one of breaching release conditions. He was apprehended in early January. He was remanded in custody but when he reappeared in court on January 14, the robbery charge had also been laid. A foreign man and a Thai woman were severely injured in a motorcycle accident after their Suzuki Hayabusa 1340cc collided with a songthaew in Samut Prakan, just southeast of Bangkok. 36 year old Kanokphan and 44 year old Nicholas were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Nicholas was treated at the scene for injuries to his head, knee and shoulder before being sent to a local hospital. The motorcyclist was travelling toward Bang Na from shopping centre Imperial World. The songthaew driver claims the motorcyclist was going around 100 kilometres per hour and hit his vehicle as he was turning on Sukhumvit 78 Soi in Samrong. A win driver who witnessed the accident told reporters that the motorcycle was in the left lane and the songthaew had made a turn into a soi from the middle lane. Pattaya – A taxi motorbike driver who assaulted a Chilean man on Walking Street this morning that was caught on CCTV has reportedly admitted that he was getting annoyed with a Chilean man who was drunk and kept asking him for a ride. The suspect is facing charges of offences against another person causing injury to body or mind. Mr. Salvatore Andres Castromedina, 24, a Chilean national, filed a report regarding the alleged assault around 2:00 A.M. this morning to Captain Puttarak Sornkamharn of the Pattaya City Police. He had broken his nose and his clothes and face were covered in blood.
