(CBS Local)– Jordan Larson is one of the best women’s volleyball players ever and the 2x Olympian will be playing in the brand new venture Athletes Unlimited Volleyball . The league will run from February 27-March 29 and the five week competition in Dallas, Texas is the only professional indoor women’s volleyball league in the United States. After a successful run with Athletes Unlimited Softball in the summer of 2020, the same concepts of players picking up individual points, switching teams each week and coaching themselves has been applied to indoor volleyball. The scoring system allows players to earn and lose points individually based on how they do and how their teams perform. The top four point leaders each week will be captains and select their teammates. Larson is hyped about this opportunity for a number of different reasons. ‘It Doesn’t Feel Real’: Jordan Romero’s Family Devastated By Death At Boston Construction Site
BOSTON (CBS) – Family members of Jordan Romero, who was killed Wednesday in a Boston construction accident , described him as a hard-working father who was trying to earn enough money to bring his family to the United States from El Salvador. Romero and another man were killed on High Street in Boston’s Financial District when they fell into a hole at a construction site. China joins Thailand, UAE in digital currency research project

(Xinhua/Cai Yang) BEIJING, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Central banks of China, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates as well as Hong Kong Monetary Authority have launched the Multiple Central Bank Digital Currency Bridge (m-CBDC Bridge) project to study the application of CBDC in the field of cross-border payment, the People's Bank of China (PBOC) said Wednesday. The Hong Kong branch of the Bank for International Settlements Innovation Hub has also extended its support to the research project, the PBOC added. The participants of the project will evaluate the feasibility of m-CBDC Bridge application in cross-border capital transfer, international trade settlement and foreign exchange transactions, among others. The left-arm pace bowler missed Hanvika's birth in November as he was in the UAE for IPL 2020.
