Despite three years having passed since Hurricane María pummeled Puerto Rico, there are many people still suffering from its aftermath, especially as relief and recovery efforts have been ever so slow. Surprisingly, both President Trump and the Biden campaign unveiled their ideas on how to help Puerto Rico after María. Indonesia court upholds President Widodo’s victory over Prabowo in April election
JAKARTA: Indonesia's Constitutional Court on Thursday (Jun 27) confirmed the victory of President Joko Widodo - popularly known as Jokowi - in April's presidential election, dismissing accusations of cheating by rival Prabowo Subianto. A panel of nine judges ruled to uphold the official results released in May by the General Elections Commission, which showed Widodo had won the race to lead the world's third-largest democracy. The country's constitutional court threw out the case lodged by ex-general Prabowo, saying he did not prove that he lost the April vote because of widespread cheating and voter fraud. "The plaintiff's case is legally groundless," said chief justice Anwar Usman. "We reject (his) demand in its entirety." Prabowo said he accepted the "very disappointing" decision by the court and urged his supporters to stay calm. He said: "We will dutifully follow our constitution, the 1945 Constitution, and the applicable laws in this country." Widodo, who was due … [Read more...] about Indonesia court upholds President Widodo’s victory over Prabowo in April election

Rep. Steube: Florida ‘Absolutely’ Serves as a Model for GOP to Win National Elections
ORLANDO, Florida — The Republican Party should “absolutely” look to Florida as a model ahead of the 2022 elections, Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) said during an exclusive interview with Breitbart News on Friday. Appearing at CPAC, Steube pointed to the America First policies touted by former President Trump, which proved to be popular even among non-traditional Republican voters. “So I hope we’re going to focus on those America First policies and concentrate on that going into 2022. We only have to take five House seats back to take the majority in Congress. You don’t hear anybody in the mainstream media talking about that, because that doesn’t affect their purpose and their liberal ideology, but five seats is not a lot of seats,” he said, noting that redistricting will likely bode well for the GOP. “We’ve got redistricting here in Florida. With the census data, Florida is probably going to pick up one or two seats by population. Texas is going to pick up a seat. I think maps are … [Read more...] about Rep.
