India’s services sector expands at fastest rate in a year in Feb; employment falls further: Survey

· March 3, 2021 ·

India's services activity expanded at the fastest rate in a year during February, while employment fell further and companies noted the sharpest rise in overall expenses, a monthly survey said on Wednesday. The seasonally adjusted India Services Business Activity Index rose from 52.8 in January to 55.3 in February, pointing to the sharpest rate of expansion in output in a year amid improved demand and more favourable market conditions. "New export orders declined for the twelfth month running, albeit at the weakest rate since last March," the survey noted. … [Read more...] about India’s services sector expands at fastest rate in a year in Feb; employment falls further: Survey

Why India must not tinker with B’desh border deal

· May 6, 2015 ·

By revising the India-Bangladesh land boundary agreement, the NDA is going for short-term gains and losing the long-term perspective, says Gautam Sen. T he Union Cabinet has cleared a Constitution amendment bill on a modified land boundary agreement with Bangladesh, excluding the exchange of enclaves and territories in adverse possession in the Assam segment. Bangladesh’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammad Shahriar Alam is reported tohavestated to themedia that Dhaka is not yet clear on this issue. It is clear that political compulsions of the Bharatiya Janata Party which dominates the National Democratic Alliance government, inthe context of the assembly elections in Assam next year, has driven the government to decide against an LBA as it has been originally framed to encompass the entire India-Bangladesh border. The BJP does not want to be seen as compromising on surrender of excess Indian land in Assam to Bangladesh. · March 3, 2021 ·

A new £300million recovery package for sport in England was announced by the Government on Wednesday as Chancellor Rishi Sunak delivered his Budget in the House of Commons. The Treasury on Twitter would then declare that there was “£300m to back clubs and governing bodies across a wide range of sports in England”. Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said on Twitter that the £300m fund would “help spectator sports such as cricket, tennis and horse racing”. Here is a look in closer detail at the support that has been confirmed. Why has this announcement been made? News of this fresh funding to help sporting institutions dealing with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic comes after the Government last week set out its ‘road map’ for the easing of lockdown restrictions. The funding adds to a £300m ‘winter survival package’ announced by the Government in November … [Read more...] about Inside Rishi Sunak’s £300million package for sport after 2021 Budget pledge

Undo! Undo! The feature could be limited to paid subscribers on Twitter. Babu Mohan 5 Mar 2021 0 Source: Joe Maring / Android Central What you need to know Twitter is testing a new "Undo Send" timer feature for tweets. The upcoming feature will make it possible for users to stop a tweet from posting even after hitting send. An 'undo send' timer will start as soon as you tap on the Tweet button. A survey conducted by Twitter in July last year confirmed that the company was working on an "undo send" feature, which would allow users to recall a tweet within 30 seconds. While there's no word yet on when the feature will be officially released, app researcher Jane Manchun Wong has now discovered an animation for "Undo Send," which reveals exactly how it will work.
