Annie Machon A former MI5 officer, Machon resigned from the security service, along with her then partner David Shayler, in 1996, and blew the whistle on alleged failures and crimes, including illegal MI5 phone taps. What the NSA is doing is turning the US – and, by extension, the rest of the world – into a Big Brother surveillance state. Binge eating can be diagnosed as an eating disorder if it meets certain clinical criteria. Before 2013 the Diagnostic and Statistical Manuals (DSM) of mental disorders described binge eating as a possible type of eating disorder that was not specified within the main section of the manual. DESIGNATED drivers are able to get their hands on a free soft drink at over 1,000 UK pubs throughout the festive season. Coca Cola and Greene King are joining forces for the 10th year to deliver their scheme which encourages drivers not to drink and drive. Drivers could still face a drink drive penalty if they're under the limit. If you're caught, you will be issued with a DR50, which means you'll be charged with being “in charge of a vehicle while unfit through drink” and results in 10 points on your licence. WHAT IS THE DRINK DRIVING LIMIT?WHILE the drink-drive limit is the same for everyone, how it influences you behind the wheel changes. As a general guide it takes around two hours for a pint to leave your system although stronger beers and ciders will take longer. A large glass of wine (250ml) is still in the blood for four hours and a … [Read more...] about How designated drivers can get a free soft drink at over 1,000 UK pubs during Christmas

Not so young that we're still waiting for a free agent to change teams -- Will Smith signed a three-year deal with the Braves last week -- but young enough that not a whole lot has happened around the league. This free-agent class is one of the best we've seen in recent years. Three superstars are available in Gerrit Cole, Anthony Rendon, and Stephen Strasburg, plus other quality players like Madison Bumgarner and Hyun-Jin Ryu are on the market as well. This free-agent class could've been even better had several players not opted for long-term security earlier in their careers, however. These days many players sign long-term contract extensions early in their careers, pushing back their free agency. They trade their maximum earning potential (through … [Read more...] about MLB free agency: Ranking seven players who would’ve hit the market this winter if not for early career paydays
