Alex Kurtzman has come aboard to direct from a script by Dante Harper (Edge of Tomorrow, Alien: Covenant), although casting has not yet begun for the title role at this time. Today we have a new report which claims that this project is eyeing a fall 2017 production start, with the film described as a horror sci-fi hybrid, although unfortunately we still don't have any story details at this time. The news broke over at MyEntertainmentWorld.com, although there are no further details about this project at this time. Venom movie was getting back on track, with Dante Harper (Edge of Tomorrow, Alien: Covenant) writing the script. That report revealed the project will have no connection to Spider-Man: Homecoming, with the studio hoping to launch their own Spider-Verse franchise after this movie comes out. The Expanse stars Steven Strait, Dominique Tipper, Cas Anvar and Frankie Adams took the stage at CCXP and didn’t waste any time thanking the fans for supporting the show that was canceled by Syfy after three seasons and moved to Amazon for season four. “You get to know that what you’re doing is important, is cared for by the people who are watching it,” said Tipper about the show’s journey. “By it being canceled, it had a renewed purpose. Ozuna’s Sci-Fi Opus ‘Nibiru’ Aims for the Stars — But Falls Short

· December 6, 2019 ·

When you’re already the biggest artist on the pop-adjacent edge of música urbana, the next logical place to look next is up. As such, for his third album Nibiru, Ozuna aims for the stars with a loosely sci-fi derived concept guiding his skywards path. Considering how vital and commercially successful his Odisea debut and its robust follow-up Aura proved, the ambition towards narrative worldbuilding makes a great deal of sense. Yet after the project’s initial announcement and subsequent months of release date silence, the phrase “Nibiru: Coming Soon” began to take on meme-like properties. More importantly, it created grand, perhaps unreasonable expectations that the Latin superstar regrettably hasn’t entirely lived up to. Largely to blame here are two high-profile collaborations with English-language rap legacies — some of which might have seemed like misfires a few years back from Daddy Yankee or J Balvin, and leave cringeworthy effects at the … [Read more...] about Ozuna’s Sci-Fi Opus ‘Nibiru’ Aims for the Stars — But Falls Short

Chibnall told Deadline that Jodie Whittaker’s Tardis-travelling time lord will be thrown into action in a “movie-like” two-part curtain-raiser called Spyfall, which will premiere on BBC One and BBC America on January 1, 2020. “Episode one is probably the biggest episode of Doctor Who we’ve done, or has been done, I would imagine. Physically, there’s a lot of stunts, there’s a lot of locations, it’s a globe-trotting action thriller,” he said. “But you don’t want to lose sight of character and intimacy and emotion.
