The late Duke of Edinburgh had “passed away peacefully”, just two months before his birthday, at Windsor Castle on April 9. Prior to that, he was hospitalized in February as a “precautionary measure” for nearly a month before he returned to the Queen in March. … [Read more...] about Queen’s physician reveals cause of Prince Philip’s death
Malacañang has played down concerns over the arrival of at least six travelers from India who had tested positive for Covid-19. The public should not be alarmed because the infected arrivals were being quarantined for 14 days in a government facility, Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr said in a press briefing on Thursday. Roque said quarantine would ensure that the virus’ Indian strain would not spread in the country. He said there was no absolute guarantee that the variant would not enter the Philippines, but the government would do its best to contain it early. According to Indian health experts, the “double-mutant” variant has a number of mutations that could increase transmissibility and help escape immune response.
