Alexander Wang put his hand down my trousers and grabbed my genitals at New York club, says student

· February 24, 2021 ·

FASHION designer Alexander Wang is facing further allegations of sexual misconduct as a student alleges he was groped on a nightclub dancefloor. Keaton Bullen, 21, a student at New York's Parsons School of Design, alleges he was assaulted by Wang, 37, at a club in the city in 2019. He claims the fashion tycoon “unzipped his trousers” and started “grabbing my penis” at Fishbowl club, he told the BBC . Mr Bullen, then 20, was with a friend at the club in New York City when he says he encountered Alexander Wang on 24 August 2019 at about 11.30pm. He told the BBC they initially talked about their shared college, Parsons School of Design in lower Manhattan, where Mr Bullen is currently studying interior design. Wang then invited him to his table and offered him vodka before leading him to the dance floor, Mr Bullen alleges. "All of a sudden he unzipped my trousers, put his hands in my pants and started grabbing my penis in front of a bunch of people," said the student. … [Read more...] about Alexander Wang put his hand down my trousers and grabbed my genitals at New York club, says student

Everything We Know About the Coronavirus Variant Spreading in New York City

· February 24, 2021 ·

Photo: Xinhua News Agency/Getty Images A new COVID-19 strain is spreading at an alarming rate in New York City, according to two academic studies submitted this week. The research from teams at Caltech and Columbia, which has not yet been peer reviewed, suggests that the variant known as B.1.526 could dampen the effectiveness of some current vaccine candidates. Below is everything we know about the research, the mutation, and how it may affect the pandemic in New York almost one year after the city was first inundated by the coronavirus . The variant known as B.1.526 began showing up in samples collected in New York City in November. To chart its rise, Caltech researchers scanned for mutations among hundreds of thousands of COVID genetic sequences in a database known as GISAID . By mid-February, the Caltech team found that B.1.526 cases had risen to 27 percent of viral sequences in the database. Columbia researchers, meanwhile, sequenced 1,142 samples from patients … [Read more...] about Everything We Know About the Coronavirus Variant Spreading in New York City

Are Bill De Blasio and Andrew Cuomo Targeting New York City’s Jews? | Opinion

· October 7, 2020 ·

The leftists running the Big Apple and the Empire State have settled on a convenient COVID-19 "super spreader" scapegoat of choice. Their choice should be surprising to no one: the Jews. In a Monday press conference, Governor Andrew Cuomo did not merely single out New Rochelle, in Westchester County, as the first outbreak hotspot—he emphasized, for good measure, the "Orthodox Jewish" identity of the culprit. "We know religious gatherings have been a problem...for weeks," he continued, belying any semblance of neutrality as to which particular community he had in mind when TV producers flashed images of black hat-clad Haredi Jews across the screen. In Kafkaesque fashion, as Jewish Insider 's Jacob Kornbluh pointed out , one of the photos appeared to be from 2006. Cuomo's press conference followed his flagging, on Twitter last week, "20 hotspot ZIP codes"—clustered around the New York City metropolitan area—of locations to "target[]." The New York City Commission of Health and … [Read more...] about Are Bill De Blasio and Andrew Cuomo Targeting New York City’s Jews? | Opinion

New Covid variant ‘spreading rapidly’ in New York City and could BEAT vaccines, researchers warn

· February 25, 2021 ·

A NEW Covid-19 variant is "spreading rapidly" in New York City and could beat vaccines, researchers warn. The new variant, called B.1.526, is spreading rapidly in the Big Apple and researchers fear it may carry a mutation that may weaken the effectiveness of vaccines. The new variant first appeared in samples collected in November 2020, and by February it accounted for about one in four viral sequences appearing in a database shared by scientists. One study, which was posted on Tuesday, was published by a group at Caltech , the other by researchers at Columbia University, which is not public yet. Researchers at Caltech discovered the rise of the B.1.526 variant by scanning for mutations in thousands of viral genetic sequences in a database called GISAID. However, neither study has been published in a scientific journal, but the results suggest that the variant's spread is real, experts said. “There was a pattern that was recurring, and a group of isolates … [Read more...] about New Covid variant ‘spreading rapidly’ in New York City and could BEAT vaccines, researchers warn

Democrat New York State Assemblyman Calls on Congress to Investigate Gov. Andrew Cuomo

· February 25, 2021 ·

Democrat New York state Assemblyman Ron Kim upped his criticism of Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) Wednesday and urged Congress to investigate the governor’s nursing home policy. Kim blasted Cuomo and urged transparency regarding the governor’s policy that put coronavirus patients in nursing homes, infecting the most vulnerable population. “We are also requesting that Congressmember Jerry Nadler (D-NY) today to officially open a congressional oversight hearing on this matter,” he said to applause. Brooklyn councilman Brad Lander said the government failed the families of elderly nursing home patients and that they are owed an apology. “Government failed these families. We failed in that executive order. We failed to make sure those nursing homes were safe places for your families,” he said. “On behalf of New York’s government, we failed. We owe you, for a start, an apology. And the governor owes you that, too,” Lander said, looking at the assembled families. “It is not the end of … [Read more...] about Democrat New York State Assemblyman Calls on Congress to Investigate Gov.
