Clean recipe drives mothers’ preference for Capri-Sun

· March 6, 2021 ·

Kindly Share This Story: By Moses Nosike Findings have shown that Capri-Sun is the number one fruit drink mothers prefer for their children. A cross section of mothers engaged, emphasized the importance of consuming healthy beverages for the overall health and long-term development of their children. Being a mom is a lot like being a custodian. Everyone is looking up to you to figure out everything from what to drink, to where to go, and what to do every day.  Mothers desire what is best for their kids to grow and evolve by guiding them along the way. Capri-Sun has endeared itself to mothers over the years by creating a variety of fruit drinks made with ‘Clean Recipe’. A ‘Clean Recipe’ essentially means foods or beverages made from natural ingredients with no artificial colours, no artificial sweeteners, no artificial flavors and no added preservatives. Against the background of a plethora of unwholesome kiddies’ fruit drinks that have saturated the … [Read more...] about Clean recipe drives mothers’ preference for Capri-Sun

Ian Veneracion ‘a natural’ while Sue Ramirez ‘a revelation’ in comedy roles

· November 4, 2020 ·

Ian Veneracion and Dimples Romana While Ian Veneracion is a “natural” at doing comedy, first-timer Sue Ramirez is a “revelation,” according to Jeffrey Jeturian, who is their director in the TV5 sitcom “Oh My Dad.” “Ian is already at home with comedy because his first-ever TV show was a sitcom (“Joey and Son” in 1981). For this project, I noticed that he has already learned to love his character, even during the short time we got together for taping. He would give suggestions, as well as improvise. Just like the other cast members, he is very open and collaborative.” Ian is Matthew Valderrama, an aging celebrity who figured in a scandal some 15 years ago. Still a bachelor, he returns home with the hope that he would regain his fame. But by some unexpected twist, he discovers that he is a father not only to one child, but to three. Playing Matthew’s supposed children are Sue, Louise Abuel, and Adrian Lindayag. Meanwhile, Sue, who is doing comedy for the first time via “Oh My … [Read more...] about Ian Veneracion ‘a natural’ while Sue Ramirez ‘a revelation’ in comedy roles

A terrifying sinkhole gobbles up cars and caravan in Australia

· September 28, 2015 ·

Mother Nature is reclaiming her land piece by piece, or so it appears after she swallowed more than 200 metres of beachfront in Queensland on Sunday. Fortunately, no one was harmed in the freak event, but a car, caravan, camper trailer and tents have all been lost to the abyss. The sinkhole, located at Inskip Point near Fraser Island in Queensland, is said to be three-metres deep and still unstable. At least 300 people have been evacuated from the area. Red Dao ‘capital’ is mountain wonderland

· March 7, 2021 ·

The commune, with thousands of hectares of terraced rice fields and topped with the “grey hat” of Chieu Lau Thi Peak, is considered the capital of the Red Dao ethnic group, which numbers about 450,000 people in Vietnam alone. The area is also the starting point for the Chay River, which runs like a giant snake through the mountains and forests. It takes half a day riding on motorbikes to reach Tan Phong village in Ho Thau commune from Thong Nguyen commune through a 35km distance of terraced fields, forests and grass fields surrounding other Red Dao villages, Nam Khoa, and Nam Ai. Then we feasted our eyes on the green mountain forests surrounding yellow terraced rice fields shining in the sun. Our rest was marked by relaxing talks with local farmers, who were busy harvesting their fields. After long hours of bumpy travel, we finally had lunch in a homestay in Tan Phong village, which had a spectacular view over a valley. Truong Cong Dinh, chairman of Ho Thau Commune, said the … [Read more...] about Red Dao ‘capital’ is mountain wonderland

Probably the tallest basketball player in the world — the Story of Abiodun Adegoke!

· March 6, 2021 ·

Kindly Share This Story: By Segun Odegbami Probably the tallest basketball player in the world — the Story of Abiodun Adegoke! I checked Wikipedia before writing this article. I wanted to know the tallest player in NBA history. It is Romanian Gheorghe Muresan, who was drafted by Washington Bullets in 1993. He was 7ft 7 inches (2.31m) tall. He was a real giant of a man. Some years ago, a gentleman in Ibadan contacted me about a young boy who needed the support of sport to save his life. The man told me the boy was about 16 or 17 at the time and that he was divinely physically made for the game of basketball because he was over 7ft tall! That ‘arrested’ my full attention. The gentleman also told me the boy had not been able to attend school for over a year as a result of the ‘bullying’, harassment and embarrassing stares he suffered on the streets of Ibadan. Abiodun Adegoke was in SS2 when he stopped schooling and stayed indoors most of the … [Read more...] about Probably the tallest basketball player in the world — the Story of Abiodun Adegoke!
