Pattaya – A taxi motorbike driver who assaulted a Chilean man on Walking Street this morning that was caught on CCTV has reportedly admitted that he was getting annoyed with a Chilean man who was drunk and kept asking him for a ride. The suspect is facing charges of offences against another person causing injury to body or mind. Mr. Salvatore Andres Castromedina, 24, a Chilean national, filed a report regarding the alleged assault around 2:00 A.M. this morning to Captain Puttarak Sornkamharn of the Pattaya City Police. Pattaya- A motorbike taxi driver, who is a prime suspect in a morning assault, has been arrested eight hours after appearing to assault a Chilean man on Pattaya Walking Street early this morning (February 25 th ). The entire shocking incident was caught on CCTV video which was released to The Pattaya News and other local news media and can be seen here. Taranaki man accused of robbery walks free after false complaint claim
A man facing a charge of aggravated robbery has walked free after the New Plymouth District Court was told the complaint was false. Terrence Riddle appeared before Judge Gregory Hikaka in the New Plymouth District Court on January 14 facing a charge of aggravated robbery and one of breaching release conditions. He was apprehended in early January. He was remanded in custody but when he reappeared in court on January 14, the robbery charge had also been laid.
