Kings winning streak reaches 6 with another impressive win over Blues
All of a sudden the Los Angeles Kings are starting to resemble their glory days. Great goaltending, shut down defense, just enough offense, and a lot of wins. Thanks to their 2-1 win over the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night they were able to extend their current winning streak to six games to keep hanging around in the West Division playoff race. It is a remarkable stretch for a team that entered the season with almost no expectations. Thanks to their win on Wednesday, combined with Colorado’s loss to Minnesota, the Kings now find themselves in third place in the division. They are also just one point back of the Blues with two games in hand and only two points back of first place Vegas. The Kings are in the middle of a rebuild now and loaded with one of the best farm systems in the league, creating some real optimism for the future. But the current roster isn’t ready to go away quietly this season and is starting to become a real nuisance for the rest of the teams in the … [Read more...] about Kings winning streak reaches 6 with another impressive win over Blues

LeBron James says Devin Booker, Damian Lillard are disrespected
The 2021 NBA All-Star starters — which can be seen here — and reserves have both been finalized by the league now and the selections aren’t sitting all that well with some people in the league. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was one of the people frustrated with some of the All-Star selections, specifically the decision for Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns to not make a roster and the Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard not making the starting lineup for the Western Conference. “ Devin Booker is the most disrespected player in our league!!! Simple as that,” James wrote in one tweet after the rosters came out. “Followed by Dame Dolla,” James wrote in a second tweet. Booker was a bit of a shocking snub from the roster, based off of the type of season he’s had so far this year. Booker is currently shooting 50.1% from the floor this year and putting up 24.7 points per game, while also dishing out 4.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. Booker ranks 16th … [Read more...] about LeBron James says Devin Booker, Damian Lillard are disrespected
LA City Council Set To Approve $5 Hazard Pay For Grocery Store Workers
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – The Los Angeles City Council Wednesday is slated to approve an extra $5 per hour in hazard pay for grocery store workers citywide due to the health risks they face during the COVID-19 pandemic. The emergency ordinance would require all grocery store chains in the city with at least 300 or more employees nationwide to pay their employees an extra $5 per hour until L.A. County drops down to the yellow and lowest tier of the state’s coronavirus recovery roadmap. Currently, L.A. County is in the purple and highest tier, which categorizes the virus as widespread. The hazard pay ordinance would remain in place even if L.A. County drops down to red and orange tiers. This comes one day after the L.A. County Board of Supervisors approved a similar $5 ordinance for all unincorporated areas that will remain in effect through at least the next 120 days. Several Southland cities have already approved similar hero pay ordinances, including Long Beach , … [Read more...] about LA City Council Set To Approve $5 Hazard Pay For Grocery Store Workers
