A BIZARRE viral TikTok trend is causing users to post porn and violent content as their profile picture to take advantage of a "loophole" on the platform. Porn and violence are banned on TikTok but it seems posting that content as a profile picture can go unnoticed. The trend is called "Don't search this up" and BBC News alerted TikTok to the worrying craze. Hashtags used to promote the trend are now banned and TikTok is deleting profiles which partake. As a large proportion of TikTok users are under 18, the trend is extremely concerning. BBC News claims it saw hardcore pornography and "an Islamic State group video of the murder of Jordanian pilot Muadh al-Kasasbeh" set as profile pictures on the app. One teenage user told the BBC : "I've seen gore and hardcore porn and I'm really concerned about this because so many kids use TikTok. Get ready for Twitter to start looking a whole lot crisper — starting today, the company is letting all users tweet (and view) pictures in 4K on iOS and Android. Twitter’s web app already supports higher-resolution images (at up to 4096 x 4096 resolution), but the mobile apps had been limited to just half that, with a maximum resolution of 2048 x 2048. The company had previously started testing the 4K image upload option for mobile users earlier this year, and it seems those tests went well, as its now rolling out the feature to all users starting today. In iOS 14 , iPadOS 14 , and macOS Big Sur , developers are able to make subscriptions available for all members of a Family Sharing group for the first time, which will let multiple users take advantage of subscription offerings. In prior versions of iOS, if one member of a family purchased an app that included a subscription benefit, there was no built-in way for those features to be shared with other family members. Portal 2 celebrated its 10th anniversary this week, which means there's no better time to drop a mod that ramps the game's mind-bending puzzle antics up to the nth degree. The Portal Reloaded mod utilises your usual blue and orange portals, but also throws a new green time-travelling portal into the mix. The two timelines are 20 years apart, letting you set up your puzzles in the past to affect what happens in the future. I've always been pretty crap at the Portal games, and seeing a third portal thrown in the mix breaks my brain. Just looking at the gameplay trailer for the mod simultaneously confuses and blows my tiny mind, so even puzzling pros should find this a challenging, refreshing take on an already great game.
