Zack Snyder’s Justice League includes an Amazons origin story, Connie Nielsen says

· March 2, 2021 ·

Zack Snyder's Justice League will soon be upon us, and Connie Nielsen, who plays Wonder Woman's Amazon mother Hippolyta in the DCEU, has hinted that we'll discover more about the warrior women in the movie. "So it was very interesting, because I first shot Wonder Woman , and then we went into Justice League , after shooting Wonder Woman," Nielsen told Comic Book while promoting her new movie Nobody. "And Wonder Woman really brings you into sort of like, a little bit of an origin, background for Wonder Woman. But incredibly, Justice League actually takes you into a origin story." Nielsen remained tight-lipped on details, but did hint a bit at what we can expect to see: "I can't say a lot of it but, what was amazing was that that really was part of the story that [Snyder] built up, into Justice League, so there was like an origin origin story as well," she revealed. "I'm very excited to see how much of that you guys will get to see. Obviously, there are so many people … [Read more...] about Zack Snyder’s Justice League includes an Amazons origin story, Connie Nielsen says

Zack Snyder Explains Why Jared Leto’s Joker Is In His Justice League Movie

· March 1, 2021 ·

One of the most surprising revelations about Zack Snyder's director's cut of Justice League is that the film will feature the return of the Joker, as portrayed by Jared Leto--who reprises his role from the Suicide Squad movie. The addition raises so many questions about the new version of the film and what it could mean for the future. Thankfully, Snyder gave some context during IGN's Fan Fest . The director also shared a new clip of the movie and revealed that multiple versions of the film will be released--some potentially in theaters. As seen in a trailer for Justice League, Joker appears in Batman's Knightmare vision of a post-apocalyptic world that was first seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. How that fits into this movie and whether it's actually a version of the future or merely a dream remains to be seen, though it could have something to do with the cliffhanger that will end the Snyder Cut . Regardless, that setting was too tempting for Snyder to not … [Read more...] about Zack Snyder Explains Why Jared Leto’s Joker Is In His Justice League Movie

New Zack Snyder’s Justice League Clip Is Filled With Easter Eggs

· March 1, 2021 ·

It won't be long before fans will finally be able to watch Zack Snyder's director's cut of Justice League --complete with Jared Leto reprising his role as the Joker--on HBO Max when it releases on March 18. Until then, though, you have to sustain on trailers and clips released in anticipation of the film--including the newest one released during IGN's Fan Fest . The clip, which doesn't actually feature any of the actors from Justice League, was something Snyder was working on before he originally left the film. The director explained that he didn't know if it would be used as an opening credits sequence or promotional material released ahead of the film. In it, a Mother Box is shown, documenting the history of the DC universe's superheroes. And while it looks impressive, it's going to be something fans are going to want to study closely. "There's a million Easter eggs in it," Snyder teased during the panel. He continued, "I feel like it's important for everyone to … [Read more...] about New Zack Snyder’s Justice League Clip Is Filled With Easter Eggs

The Athletes Have More to Say

Sterling Brown and George Hill of the Milwaukee Bucks read a statement to the media about the team’s August 26 walkout over the shooting of Jacob Blake. Photo: Jesse D. Garrabrant/NBAE via Getty Images Of all the moments of the 2019–20 NBA season — the one with Rudy Gobert touching all the mics and the pandemic and the bubble and another Lakers championship — the most lasting one, the most important one, came when the Milwaukee Bucks, in the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, elected unanimously not to play their playoff game against the Orlando Magic in order to call for justice for Blake and for the officers to “be held accountable.” It led to the postponement of two days worth of NBA playoff games, as well as games in Major League Baseball, the WNBA, and the MLS. It was something that had always been whispered about but not actually seen in sports in generations: Players recognizing the power of their voices — and simply refusing to play … [Read more...] about The Athletes Have More to Say
