"My child is not a lab rat." The words are from a 25-year-old woman, Susan, and they're in reference to her three-year-old twin girls. While she speaks to DW, her eyes flicker between them as they begin to meander away — first together, then in different directions — in a large, open park in Bonn, Germany. "It just hasn't been tested enough," Susan insists. "A few months [of testing]? That isn't safe." So no, she says. Her kids are not getting vaccinated against COVID-19. And she isn't, either. Her husband had to, and she didn't like that. At a nearby playground, another mother, who does not want to share her name, feels very differently. "I'd vaccinate them. If it were allowed, or doable, then definitely." Her 12-year-old daughter, she says, has had two different kids in her classroom get COVID-19. That led to a two-week quarantine — each time. "That's where you realize it affects them too." At some point in the coming weeks, the European Medicines Agency is expected to … [Read more...] about COVID: How many parents will actually vaccinate their kids?
How the mmr vaccine works
What struck me most about His Fraudulency Joe Biden’s Wednesday night address to congress was how it seemed as though the entire federal government had gathered to stage a nationally-televised piece of performance art with one blaring message: The coronavirus vaccine does not work! Do not get vaccinated! Look at us! LOOK AT US, we’re vaccinated and nothing’s changed!!! Everyone from His Fraudulency to Her Vice Fraudulency to the Speaker of the House; absolutely everyone in that congressional chamber has been vaccinated, and yet, through their own actions they screamed out their belief that the vaccine is, at best, worthless. We’re being told and told again the vaccine works. Our government assures and reassures us the vaccine works. Biden and everyone in congress assure us the vaccine works. Billions of taxpayer dollars are being spent to convince everyone to get vaccinated because — you guessed it — the vaccine works. But… If the vaccine works, why is the government … [Read more...] about Nolte: Biden Congressional Address Was an Anti-Vaccine Infomercial
Though vaccination progress in many EU countries is slow because of supply bottlenecks at manufacturers, Israel currently has more available supply than national demand. To date, Israel has administered the most COVID-19 vaccine doses per capita in the world. More than 3.67 million Israelis have received the first dose of the BioNTech-Pfizer mRNA vaccine since the vaccination campaign began on December 20. This represents about 40% of the country's population. More than 28% have already received the second dose. And among those over 60, more than 80% have already been vaccinated. Meanwhile, anyone over the age of 16 can be vaccinated immediately. Israel currently has so much supply from BioNTech-Pfizer that Moderna's vaccine is not even being administered yet, even though it has been licensed in Israel since January 5. Ugur Sahin, BioNTech 's chief executive and co-founder, told reporters on Wednesday that the vaccine his company created with Pfizer will likely require a third booster shot due to data showing a weaker immune response over time in people who received the vaccine, the Associated Press reported. According to studies, the efficacy of the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine drops from 95% to 91% after six months. Sahin said people who receive two doses of the vaccine should get the third dose nine to 12 months after the first shot. "Accordingly, we need a third shot to get the vaccine protection back up to almost 100% again," Sahin said. "And then I expect it will probably be necessary to get another booster every year or perhaps every 18 months." The emergence of new variants has created worry over the effectiveness of existing vaccines. Sahin said his company has tested its vaccine against more than 30 variants, including the prevailing strain originating from Britain. BioNTech found … [Read more...] about Pfizer COVID Vaccine Likely Will Need Third Booster Shot, BioNTech CEO Says
