NEW DELHI: Ri Sol-Ju, the wife of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, has been reported missing for the past one year. She was last seen in public on January 25, 2020 and its been over a year since she made any public appearance. Due to this, several speculations and theories have started to surface on the internet around her disappearance. It is also feared that the Korean dictator Kim Jong-un may have made his wife disappear while some media reports are claiming that Ri Sol-Ju has isolated herself due to the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking to NK News, Hong Min, director of the North Korean research division at Korea Insitute for National Unification, stated, "Her disappearance could be due to coronavirus pandemic. Teenage girl found dead at foot of multi-storey car park in Pasir Ris
SINGAPORE: A teenage girl was found lying motionless at the foot of a multi-storey car park in Pasir Ris on Wednesday (Jan 8). Police said on Thursday they were alerted to a case of unnatural death at Block 526A Pasir Ris Street 51 at about 4.04pm. The 13-year-old girl was later pronounced dead by a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic. Self-guided heritage trail opens in Pasir Ris
SINGAPORE: Before Downtown East and Wild Wild Wet, there was the Golden Palace Holiday Resort. Established in 1967, it was the go-to holiday spot in Pasir Ris for locals in the 1960s and 1970s, with a nightclub, restaurants, chalets, and Chinese-style pavilions that dotted its pond. Despite its popularity, however, profitability concerns and internal conflict weighed on the resort, which closed down in 1971. But its legacy lives on. In 1990, the pond became Singapore’s only commercial saltwater fishing pond for people to catch barramundis, snappers and pomfrets. The 24-hour D’Best Fishing Pond continues to log about 8,000 visitors every month, said Mr Andy Tay, who co-runs the business with his family.
