What just happened? More apparent evidence has arrived that suggests the RTX 3080 Ti will be here soon. A few overseas retailers are already listing the card, and, in some cases, with prices—though we’re hoping these are placeholders as they reach almost $2,300. As reported by VideoCardz , a Polish site called X-Kom has listed the RTX 3080 Ti Ventus 3X OC; the same card captured in a photograph last week. There's no price on the upcoming Ampere product’s page, but more new listings from New Zealand and Australia reveal both the estimated launch date and possible selling points. The same RTX 3080 Ti Ventus appears on New Zealand's Aquila Technology site for 2,543 NZD, or $1,822. The store also has the Gigabyte Gaming OC card for 3,153 NZD, which is a jaw-dropping $2,259. Interestingly, the former card is down as being in stock on May 13. Rumor mill: With the RTX 3080 Ti’s announcement and launch supposedly just a few weeks away, a purported image showing one of MSI’s cards has leaked. The MSI RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X in the photo has come from a distribution center and is the final retail product. Rumors that an RTX 3080 Ti card was in the works have been circulating since November. Alleged details of the card have changed since then; once believed to feature 20GB of GDDR6X, it seems Nvidia has instead opted for 12GB of GDDR6X at 19 Gbps. Virtually every month of 2021 has seen a predicted launch date, but it looks increasingly likely that it will land in May. A photo of what’s claimed to be pallets of MSI cards, including the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Ventus 12G OC, was published earlier this month. Now, a VideoCardz source has provided an image of the MSI RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X from one of the distribution centers that have received the next Ampere release. The SUPRIM X is the series’ flagship model, offering … [Read more...] about Photo of MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X suggests launch is close
After a month-long wait since Nvidia unveiled the GeForce RTX 20 series, we can finally bring you our performance review. Meanwhile the vanilla RTX 2080 is landing at $700 for partner models and $800 for the Founders Edition. Later next month we'll also get the RTX 2070 at $500 or $600 for the FE card. This means gamers are looking at somewhere between $100 and $300 more for an equivalent model from the previous generation. On top of that, the Founders Edition models carry a further $100 to $200 price premium, and just know these will be the only models in stock from time to time. Nevertheless it's worth noting that graphics card prices are down to regular levels . After a year of inflated prices due to indirect mining demand, the now two-year old GTX 1080 … [Read more...] about Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 & 2080 Ti Review
Saturday's Newegg Shuffle targets the best and the worst, at least in performance, of Nvidia's Ampere lineup. The RTX 3060 and RTX 3090 are at polar ends of the GPU spectrum, and priced accordingly. Either way, you're getting one of the best graphics cards — assuming you win the chance to buy one of these GPUs. GPU pricing index suggests some people might just be putting their 'winnings' up for sale to earn a buck, not that we'd recommend that. GPU benchmarks hierarchy has the details. We've also recently covered how modern GPUs perform in ray tracing benchmarks , where Nvidia's DLSS can make a huge difference. Basically, RTX 3060 cards are about as fast as the RTX 2070 from 2018, but with more memory (and less memory bandwidth). The RTX 3090 meanwhile reigns as the king of the GPU hill, with 24GB of VRAM for good measure. It's about 25% faster than the old Titan RTX , and right now costs nearly as much. potentially buy. Then Newegg will hold a drawing later today, … [Read more...] about GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3090 in Weekend Newegg Shuffle
