Jaguar Land Rover has announced the launch of the premium car subscription service Pivotal.As the luxury carmaker claims, with this, both the Jaguar and Land Rover cars will be available for subscription.Among the Land Rover models, the Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover Sport are included, while new models will be introduced at a later stage, including the new Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque PHEV.The automaker also claims that Pivotal will initially be looking to grow and integrate with approved Jaguar and Land Rover retailers to supply the vehicles.Under this scheme, a single monthly payment will have to be paid, which will cover the rental cost, insurance, tax, servicing and repairs. JLR says that there are multiple membership tiers available and members can put their subscription on hold from month to month. BRUSSELS: After the devastating financial crisis of 2008-09, the United States recovered much more quickly than Europe, which suffered a double-dip recession. This time, many economists say that Europe may have the edge. The main reason America did well was the rapid response of the government and the flexible nature of the U.S. economy, quick both to fire workers but also to hire them again. Europe, with built-in social insurance, tries to keep workers from layoffs through subsidies to employers, making it harder to fire and more expensive to rehire. But this is a different kind of collapse, a mandated shutdown in response to a pandemic, driving down both supply and demand simultaneously.
