We've often heard myriad tales of Bollywood stars and their exotic lives on and offsets. But here is Unni, the lead elephant from Haathi Mere Saathi starring Rana Daggubati, who lives a life even more exotic than our B-town celebs. During the shoot of HMS, Unni proved to be the biggest celebrity on the set. Prabu Solomon, the National award-winning director shares how he met Unni. Says he, "A few years ago, I needed a lead elephant and we auditioned more than 30 to 40 elephants across the length and breadth of Kerala. There I found Unni. He is very friendly, emotional, obedient and intellegent. I worked with Unni in Kumki and because he was so good, I casted him in Kumki 2 as well. Led by the National Parks Board (NParks), these acts of enforcement were a true testament of the country’s zero-tolerance to illegal wildlife trade. SINGAPORE: When contractor and part-time Grab driver Koh Jie Meng started driving an electric vehicle (EV) in 2019, he had to make special trips to a flatted factory in Ang Mo Kio every two to three days to charge the Hyundai Kona Electric, which he rented. The 30-year-old, who lives in a Housing and Development Board (HDB) flat in Yishun, would much prefer to slow-charge the car while it was parked for the night as some EV owners did elsewhere in their home garage. But as no such charging facilities were available at any of the car parks near him, he had to travel to the only fast-charging point in Singapore’s north back then — SP Group’s station at Techplace I — and take about an hour to recharge his EV. LONDON: Arsenal's Spanish defender Hector Bellerin has become the second-largest shareholder in Forest Green Rovers, the world's most environmentally sustainable football club, according to FIFA. Bellerin, who this year pledged to ensure 3,000 trees were planted in the Amazon rainforest for every Arsenal win, said he was excited to join Rovers' green revolution. "It's important that I invest in things I am passionate about - and I'm excited to help push football into having a sustainable future," the 25-year-old told the club's website. "People have a universal love of football, so there's no better industry to promote sustainability - and what we can do as football supporters to be more environmentally conscious."
