Apple today announced OS X 10.11 El Capitan, the latest version of its Mac operating system. OS X El Capitan features new versions of multiple stock apps, including Safari, Mail and Notes, improved Spotlight search with natural language enhancements and contextually aware results, Metal for Mac and other features and refinements that Apple introduced during its WWDC keynote in San Francisco. Safari: A new pinned feature enables users to keep websites listed at the top of Safari, similar to a bookmarks bar. The browser also gains a universal mute feature that allows users to mute a website that is playing music, even with several tabs open. Mail: The new Mail app features enhancements to its full-screen mode, tabs in the compose window, the ability to hide in-progress messages and go back to the main Inbox. With Clark Kent/Kal-El busy fighting in space, the time has come for Clark and Lois' son, Jonathan Kent, to take up his father's mantle and step into the big red boots and cape. President Joe Biden’s administration may provide immigration rights and citizenship to many foreign “climate migrants” who claim they are being displaced by climate change, the Associated Press (AP) reported this week. On Tuesday, AP noted : No nation offers asylum or other legal protections to people displaced specifically because of climate change. President Joe Biden’s administration is studying the idea, and climate migration is expected to be discussed at his first climate summit, held virtually Thursday and Friday. President Biden issued an executive order on February 4 ordering national security adviser Jake Sullivan to produce a report by August 3 on “Planning for the Impact of Climate Change on Migration,” including options for protecting and resettling climate change-displaced persons. The El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) and El Paso Animal Services honored Astro, an American pit bull terrier , with a medal and a dog-safe cake on Friday, to celebrate the pooch’s bravery, according to KTSM. Last week, Astro reportedly alerted a neighbor when his owner experienced a medical emergency , fire department officials posted on social media -- though at the time, officials got his name wrong and called him Cosmo. Amazon Prime Video and RTVE have set Rodrigo Santoro ( Westworld ) and Alvaro Morte ( Money Heist ) as explorers Magallanes and El Cano in Simon West-directed series Boundless . The four-part drama will tell the story of Juan Sebastián Elcano and Ferdinand Magellan’s epic voyage around the world after they set sail from Spain 500 years ago. Also in the cast will be Sergio Peris-Mencheta (Captain Cartagena), Adrian Lastra (Captain Mendoza), Carlos Cuevas (Martino), Pepon Nieto (Father Bartolomé), Raul Tejon (Gómez de Espinosa), Goncalo Diniz (Duarte Barbosa), Manuel Moron (Cardenal Fonseca) and Barbara Goenaga (Beatriz).
