Facebook has blocked a number of accounts that are part of a disinformation network which is trying to appeal to followers of the far-right cult of QAnon. Sabmyk is a rapidly growing movement which borrows from the terminology of QAnon, the conspiracy theory that claimed former President Donald Trump was waging a war against elite Satan-worshipping paedophiles. Sabmyk peddles far-fetched narratives such as the messianic belief that a savior carrying a sword once owned by the "Orion Kings of Atlantis" will lead an "awakening" against a group of prominent people it says is manipulating the public. The network, whose name has a Biblical origin, has expanded greatly through the messaging app Telegram. CrossFit has denounced the "loathsome and dangerous lies" of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a former CrossFit affiliate gym owner who has continued to tout the brand. Greene, an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump who was elected last November, was last month removed from all of her House committee assignments following a bipartisan vote prompted by a series of controversial past remarks, including past support of pro-Trump conspiracy theories like QAnon and Pizzagate. Although CrossFit had previously been silent about the congresswoman, the company disavowed Greene in a BuzzFeed News article on Monday. "CrossFit supports respectful fact-based political dialogue to address our common challenges, and we strongly oppose the loathsome and dangerous lies attributed to Ms. Greene," CrossFit spokesperson Andrew Weinstein told BuzzFeed. Laura Loomer, a self-described "proud Islamophobe," is making another bid for Congress , and she's already gained support from Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a freshman Republican who's garnered national attention for her own controversial comments. Loomer filed to run for Congress on Wednesday and is looking to unseat Democratic Representative Lois Frankel, to whom she lost in 2020 by 20 points. A controversial face in the Republican Party, Loomer's described Islam as a "cancer on humanity" and has been banned from various social media platforms, as well as ride-share apps, for her comments about Muslims. China's export growth jumped to the highest in over two decades on Sunday. The latest figures stand in stark contrast to last year´s fall of around 17% in exports and 4 % drop in imports. China´s overall trade surplus came in at $103.3 billion, according to its customs administration. BEIJING: After the coronavirus brought a halt to economic activities across the globe, China´s export growth jumped to the highest in over two decades on Sunday,  according to official data. Electronics and textile exports such as masks contributed to the spike in outbound shipments, as demand for work-from-home supplies and protective gear against the virus outbreak soared during the pandemic.
