‘UFO’ mystery deepens as American Airlines doesn’t deny spotting and says ‘talk to the FBI’

AMERICAN Airlines has not ruled out that one of its jets encountered an apparent UFO over New Mexico last weekend. The passenger airline today verified a radio transmission from flight 2292 Cincinnati to Phoenix at around 1:00pm CST Sunday, which heard a pilot claim the unidentified object was flying right on top of them. "Do you have any targets up here? We just had something go right over the top of us," the pilot said in the radio transmission, which was recorded by flight blogger Deep Black Horizon. Steve Douglass, an experienced radio interceptor, claims to have heard the strange transmission while recording from his arsenal of scanners. "I hate to say this but it looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing moving really fast. It went right over the top of us." Malaysia Airlines Tells Grieving Families to Go Home and Wait

Malaysia Airlines told families of the missing passengers on Flight 370 to return to their homes and wait for updates from there, according to a statement the airline released on Thursday. While Malaysia Airlines is committed to continuing its support to the families during the whole process, we are adjusting the mode of services and support. Instead of staying in hotels, the families of MH370 are advised to receive information updates on the progress of the search and investigation and other support by Malaysia Airlines within the comfort of their own homes, with the support and care of their families and friends. Investigators: We May Never Know What Happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

The Malaysian police in charge of finding out what happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 admitted on Wednesday something the world is beginning to fear: we may never really know what happened to the doomed jetliner and the 239 people on board. We have to clear every little thing. At the end of the investigations, we may not even know the real cause. We may not even know the reason for this incident." Malaysia Airlines Search Area Is the Worst Place on Earth to Lose a Plane

The ongoing search and recovery operation for the missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner was suspended on Tuesday due to extreme weather in the southern Indian Ocean. "A visual search will resume tomorrow when the weather is expected to improve after gale force winds and heavy swells resulted in the suspension of the search operation on Tuesday," the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said in a briefing sent to Mashable . As many as 12 aircraft were grounded as a result of the weather, the AMSA said, making "any air and sea search activities hazardous and pose a risk to crew."
