Viettel brand value increasing by year (unit: billion $) Viettel has been valued at $6.016 billion (up 3.4 per cent on-year) in the Brand Finance Global 500 2021 Ranking. This is the only Vietnamese brand in the list, ranking 325th in the world, as well as the only Southeast Asian telecommunication brand in the ranking. According to Brand Finance, there are 34 telecommunication brands in the top 500, however, most of their brands' value decreased at an average 2 per cent. Viettel did better than numerous well-known global brands like Nescafé (from Switzerland), Qualcomm (US), Spotify (Sweden), Lenovo (China), or Claro (Mexico). Infineon said on Thursday it was expanding its production capacity to help address global supply shortages and would be able to meet the needs of its customers in the long term. CEO Reinhard Ploss said Infineon's new plant in Villach, Austria, due to open in late summer, would be capable of producing enough power semiconductors each year to equip the drive trains of 25 million electric vehicles. A semiconductor supply crunch has forced carmakers like Volkswagen , Ford and General Motors to idle production after the chip market was swept clean by demand for higher-margin consumer electronics. Analysts say that supply of automotive products like microcontrollers will remain tight until mid-year as chipmakers adjust to demand that has snapped back since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic last spring. Seeing his son get excited about online learning, Thu decided to register him for an English online class run by an overseas Vietnamese who teaches via Zoom. However, the boy later said he was overloaded and tired of online learning. The same thing happened with her older son. “It was easier to study online last year, when by sons were in fourth and eighth grades. They prefer online study because they did not have to get up early to go to school. But things are different now,” she said. “As the kids are in the final grades of primary and secondary levels, they have to do more exercises and feel stressful,” she explained. As schools have closed amid the new Covid-19 outbreak and organized online classes, Thu has had to buy one more laptop for the younger son. They also need a smartphone, in case of computer troubles. Microsoft is rolling out a new feature called Transform that lets users of Word on the web to turn a text-based document into a PowerPoint presentation with a design theme. The new Transform command can be found in Word online under the menu options File > Transform > Transform to PowerPoint presentation. Users need to open a Word document to convert the file into a PowerPoint presentation. After selecting Transform, Word users need to select a design theme for the presentation and then review the outcome in PowerPoint for the web. The new PowerPoint slides will be stored in the OneDrive folder of the user. The Transform feature is currently only available to users in the Office Insiders program and it does come with a number of limitations. However, once complete, it promises to use Microsoft's AI to create a Powerpoint presentation based on all the summarized sections of the document with imagery, icons, videos, themes, and fonts.
