· March 3, 2021 ·

LORRAINE Kelly shocked today as she revealed her plan to get a "naughty" tattoo on her BUM now that she is in her 60s. The 61-year-old star made the candid confession on her morning ITV show, leaving showbiz correspondent Ross King speechless. The pair were discussing the cut-out jumper that Dolly Parton wore to get her coronavirus vaccine, pointing out that it was perfect for giving easy access to the jab. Ross asked the host: "You don't have any tattoos or anything to hide? No sleeves or anything?" Completely deadpan, Lorraine replied: "No, I haven't got any tattoos. "I was going to for my 60th, I was going to get one on my bottom but I couldn't decide what - maybe some planets?" Ross burst into shocked laughter as he asked what she was thinking - and Lorraine admitted that she may still go ahead with the inking. She explained: "I don't know, something naughty because nobody would see it apart from [husband] Steve. "I might still get it, why not?" … [Read more...] about Lorraine Kelly shocks as she reveals plan to get a ‘naughty’ tattoo on her BUM now she’s in her 60s

Minis and bell bottoms, geometry and tights: The swinging 60s are back in style

· November 27, 2018 ·

When Karl Lagerfeld put his Chanel Cruise cast in white stockings and Mary Janes , it was clear the 1960s was once again upon us. The 60s was a particularly prolific time for fashion, spawning many style trends we now call iconic: Mod, the babydoll, the flower child, the hippie, to name a few. Blame it on the rag trade’s unwillingness to let go of the past, but the biggest names in fashion – Lagerfeld along with his famous friends Gucci’s Alessandro Michele and Ferragmo’s Paul Andrew – are loving a little throwback fashion. CNA Lifestyle counts the ways to relive the Swinging Sixties without looking like you're attending a costume party. BABY, YOU’RE A DOLL The babydoll first came about in the 1960s, and despite umpteen reiterations, the instantly recognisable A-line continues to make an impact – this time in a patterned wallpaper print of deep, dark colours punched up by flashes of neon. For a modern touch, consider changing up the fabrication. Instead of clunky … [Read more...] about Minis and bell bottoms, geometry and tights: The swinging 60s are back in style

‘Second-class citizens?’: Sabah, Sarawak want clarity on rights as equal partners

· May 15, 2019 ·

SANDAKAN, Sabah: In a school hall filled with hundreds of Sandakan residents and voters, Sabah Chief Minister Shafie Apdal issued a rallying call that drew the loudest cheer of the evening. “Sabah is not like the states of Kelantan, Terengganu and Perlis. We want to remind the younger generation that when Malaysia was formed, Sabah was formed as a wilayah (territory),” said the 62-year-old. “We were not just included in Malaysia, we helped to form and shape the country,” he paused, as the crowd roared in approval. Mr Shafie was campaigning for Democratic Action Party’s (DAP) Vivian Wong, who ultimately won the Sandakan by-election by a landslide margin last Saturday (May 11). At the crucial point of the campaign, Mr Shafie’s message was clear - vote for the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government because it is committed to restore the status of Sabah as an equal partner with the Federation of Malaya, as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63). This would mean the … [Read more...] about ‘Second-class citizens?’: Sabah, Sarawak want clarity on rights as equal partners
