The Legend of Bum-bo gets a free expansion with a new character and save function

The Legend of Bum-bo , Edmund McMillen's "puzzle based deckbuilding roguelike" prequel to The Binding of Isaac, arrived in November 2019, and was pretty good stuff: "A fun blend of puzzle and roguelike that inspires forward-thinking, but cuts your strategy short," we said in our 72% review . A handful of small updates followed, but almost a year passed between the last of them, in December 2019, and " a long overdue update " in November 2020, in which McMillen explained the long silence, apologized for the "lack of transparency and seemingly abandoning the project." He also said that new DLC was in the works that would add "a few new alt bosses, new items, a few features that were on your most wanted list and a new playable character, Bum-bo the Lost." That update, called The Lost Expansion, is now live on Steam , and free for all players. A Vietnamese specialty is among CNN’s nominations for 20 of the best soups around the world

The Hanoitimes - The CNN U.S television channel has recently ranked the Pho bo or beef noodle soup at the second position among 20 best soups of the world. “Broth is simmered for hours with cinnamon, star anise and other warm spices to create a wonderfully aromatic base for this rice noodle soup,” the CNN’s travel website https://edition.cnn.com wrote. The Pho bo or beef noodle soup is a Hanoian popular dish for breafast. Photo: Huong Nguyen. It also quoited Andrea Nguyen, author of “The Pho Cookbook” that Pho is among Vietnam's most recognized culinary exports. And while today's pho restaurants serve a wide range of flavors, beef is the original. By 1930, Nguyen explained, the soup was served with slices of raw beef cooked gently in the broth. “Today, beef pho remains the most beloved version in Vietnam, with options that include the original raw beef, a mix of raw and cooked beef, brisket and tendon,” the website wrote. Vietnam’s top 100 dishes, food gifts announced

Complied by the Vietnam Records Organization (Vietkings) and Vietnam Top Center (VietTop), the list includes dishes and food gifts from each of Vietnam’s 63 provinces and municipalities. In order to qualify for the list, dishes must be a reflection of Vietnamese culture, made from natural ingredients, healthy and widely available. Specialties selected must meet key criteria such as reflecting Vietnamese characteristics. The project to compile the list began in 2012. During the past decade, Vietkings has evaluated over 500 dishes and specialties from across the nation before settling on a finalized ranking. The noodle dishes which made the list include ‘bun nuoc leo’ from Soc Trang, ‘banh canh Ben Co’ from Tra Vinh, ‘pho kho Gia Lai’ from Gia Lai, ‘bun cha ca Quy Nhon’ from Binh Dinh, ‘bun bo Hue’ from Hue, and ‘banh da cua’ from Hai Phong.
