Photograph: Gareth Copley/Getty Images England all-rounder Sam Curran, on Monday, gave clear indication that he might skip the home Test series against New Zealand starting June 2, provided Chennai Super Kings play the IPL final on May 30. With the ongoing debate in England about England players choosing IPL over Test matches, Curran's statement was like a reality check for the English cricket establishment. "Obviously you have to see how the IPL tournament pans out, if you missed the qualifications I presume you'll be most likely to be available for those Tests," Curran told British media. "But if you are in the final, it might be a bit different. It's still quite a way away. No one really knows how it's gonna pan out, so yeah fingers crossed. Will see how the IPL goes," one of Mahendra Singh Dhoni's main weapons gave an indication where his priorities lay. Roxio Toast 17 Pro review: 64-bit ready, with new multicam editing skills
With the release of Toast 17 Pro (as well as DVD-only sibling Toast 17 Titanium ), Roxio is sending a clear message that optical media is here to stay. Following last year’s purely cosmetic overhaul which added a dark UI, the latest version sports an under the hood tune-up. The application is finally 64-bit, in time for the release of macOS Mojave this fall, the last macOS to support 32-bit apps. That means Toast will continue working when macOS goes 64-bit only, but users won’t have to wait that long to reap the benefits. Aside from initial post-installation problems with the application refusing to launch after the first time, Toast 17 Titanium is the snappiest it’s ever been. I’m not sure if my issue was caused by the new, sleeker internet-based installation (which downloads content as needed, rather than as a standalone installer), but I resolved the problem by first purging everything related to Toast—including preference and support files—then reinstalling the latest … [Read more...] about Roxio Toast 17 Pro review: 64-bit ready, with new multicam editing skills
The Ultimate Guide to Body Language

You may think that you only show your emotions through your face, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. Your entire body participates in the business of either showing or hiding your mental state. To control that display means you have to control your body's cues. This guide will show you how, starting from the top down. … [Read more...] about The Ultimate Guide to Body Language

The Accellion Breach Keeps Getting Worse—and More Expensive
The drumbeat of data breach disclosures is unrelenting, with new organizations chiming in all the time. But a series of breaches in December and January that have come to light in recent weeks has quietly provided an object lesson in how bad things can get when hackers find an inroad to dozens of potential targets—and they're out for profit. Firewall vendor Accellion quietly released a patch in late December, and then more fixes in January , to address a cluster of vulnerabilities in one of its network equipment offerings. Since then, dozens of companies and government organizations worldwide have acknowledged that they were breached as a result of the flaws—and many face extortion, as the ransomware group Clop has threatened to make the data public if they don't pay up. On March 1, security firm FireEye shared the results of its investigation into the incident, concluding that two separate, previously unknown hacking groups carried out the hacking spree and the extortion … [Read more...] about The Accellion Breach Keeps Getting Worse—and More Expensive
