Audi India kicked off the initiative by inviting its fanbase to post some of the gender-related stereotypes they are tired of hearing. Having received over 100 responses, the brand took this initiative on-ground by inviting eight women for the campaign drive. Here are just a few examples of some of the age-old, supposedly funny remarks women are often subjected to while driving in our country: "You drive pretty well for a woman", "Can your feet reach the accelerator?", "You might want to consider a smaller car?", "Will you be able to change the tire on your own?", "You'll be more comfortable in the backseat." Audi by introducing this campaign put to rest all the stereotype comments. A cloud-framed full moon, distant lights from a school parking lot and a nearby street provided the only illumination when David Simoneaux addressed his Catholic High of Pointe Coupee team Monday. The Hornets had completed one of their final football practices of the year. Other than Simoneaux’s voice and sound of gravel being pushed by a truck passing through the parking lot, it was quiet. The silence and the varying shades of light offer a tempered backdrop for the 35-year-old coach who is balancing unparalleled professional and personal joy, along with profound loss. “Mom used to write us letters, both before and after she got sick. And a celebration began. “Everybody went crazy,” said Simoneaux, a running back on Parkview Baptist’s first title team in 2001. “This means everything to them, and I am so excited for our team and our community. I remember what it was like for me that first time. Riding on the bus and then coming up over that hill on the interstate where you see the Superdome. … We just felt we had reached the promised land.” The memo confirming what had been rumored over the weekend — that the two schools would be granted permission to play in … [Read more...] about LHSAA grants request for Catholic-PC, Ouachita Christian to play state title game at Superdome
