New Delhi: The world’s renowned education institutes as well as numerous countries have hailed the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of India. Many institutes have called it the world’s biggest reform and has exhibited interest in implementing it, said Ramesh Pokhriyal "Nishank", Union Education Minister on Saturday (February 27). The Union Education Minister while addressing the 97th annual convocation of Delhi University, revealed that the new education policy that has been introduced after "much deliberation" will see India "reform, perform and transform". India, China to discuss disengagement in Gogra, Hot Springs and Depsang plains on February 20
New Delhi: As the disengagement of troops has been fully completed along the Southern and Northern bank of Pangong lake, India and China will discuss disengagement from three friction points in Eastern Ladakh including Gogra, Hot Springs and Depsang plains in the Corps Commander level talks scheduled on Saturday. According to Army sources, India and China are set to hold the 10th round of Corps Commander level talks at 10 am on Saturday on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Moldo. Meanwhile, Indian troops have moved to their depth locations after the disengagement. COVID-19: More than 16,000 new cases take India’s active count to 1.64 lakh
New Delhi : India recorded more than 16,000 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, which took the country's active count to 1.64 lakh, said the Ministry of Health on Sunday (FEBRUARY 28, 2021). According to the official data, 16,752 new infections were reported in the past 24 hours across India. The country's COVID-19 active count has now increased to 1,64,511. Over 11,000 people were discharged, whereas, 113 succumbed to the virus on Saturday. So far, India has witnessed a total of 1,10,96,731 infections, of which, 1,07,75,169 have recovered, while 1,57,051 have died. Earlier on Saturday, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba chaired a high-level review meeting with Chief Secretaries of Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir. PM Narendra Modi inaugurates Khelo India Winter Games, says will make J&K winter sports hub
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (February 26) inaugurated the second Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg and said that the event is a step towards making Jammu and Kashmir a hub of winter sports. Athletes from 27 states and Union Territories are competing in the Games which will conclude on March 2. "This is a step towards making India's presence felt in the international winter games arena and also make Jammu and Kashmir a hub of winter sports," he said in a virtual address. "These games in Gulmarg show that Jammu and Kashmir is eager to reach new heights of peace and development. These Games will strengthen the resolve for 'Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat'.
