Her family called her Twinkle. In the dry desert brush of Rajasthan where her body was found, blood spattering her tiny legs and brown school uniform and a belt fastened around her neck, she lay among scattered toffee wrappers. Her family could barely utter the words to describe what happened to the six-year-old. “If you saw her body, you will never sleep again,” said her grandfather Mahvir Meena. Over the past week, a wave of anger and repulsion has enveloped India in response to the gang rape and murder of a 27-year-old vet in Hyderabad as she made her way home from work last Wednesday. The four men who allegedly carried out the attack deliberately deflated her scooter tyres, then waited. After offering her help, they allegedly dragged her to isolated scrubland by the side of the road, raped her, asphyxiated her and then dumped her body in a motorway underpass, before dousing it with kerosene and setting it alight. Danish Ambassador to Russia Carsten Sondergaard has stated that the nation’s companies are interested in the Northern Sea Route (NSR), with the country itself recognising its importance not just for Russia, which is developing it, but also beyond. "This is a vast region worth investing in. [...] Of course, we understand that and see the prospects for the further development of this part of the world. But it is important that everything that happens in the region remains transparent and predictable. The market requires this for the Northern Sea Route", Sondergaard said. Speaking of transparency, the diplomat referred to new rules that Russia has applied to international shipping in the Northern Sea Route – all military vessels must notify of their passage in advance, while civilian ships not built in Russia need to receive permission from the government to use the route. LONDON (AP) — The prospect of Russian interference in Britain’s election flared anew Saturday after the social media platform Reddit concluded that people from Russia leaked confidential British government documents on Brexit trade talks just days before the general U.K. vote. Reddit said in a statement that it has banned 61 accounts suspected of violating policies against vote manipulation. It said the suspect accounts shared the same pattern of activity as a Russian interference operation dubbed “Secondary Infektion” that was uncovered earlier this year. Reddit investigated the leak after the documents became public during the campaign for Thursday’s election, which will determine the country’s future relationship with the European Union. All 650 seats Reddit said it believed the documents were leaked as “part of a campaign that has been reported as originating from Russia.” “We were able to confirm that they did indeed show a … [Read more...] about Reddit bans accounts, suspects possible UK vote interference
(CNN)The New York Times Editorial Board called for South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg to disclose his clients from his time at McKinsey, a management consulting firm, in an opinion piece published Thursday evening. The board wrote in the editorial, "Mr. Buttigieg owes voters a more complete account of his time at the company" than the limited information he's provided while campaigning for the Democratic nomination for president. Buttigieg, who worked for the consulting firm from 2007 to 2010, signed a nondisclosure agreement covering his time at the company. He told reporters in September that he had joined McKinsey because "I felt that I need to get experience in business." "I had studied economics academically ... and I had worked a little bit around campaigns, but I hadn't done the work of being involved in how people and money and goods move around the world," Buttigieg told CNN. "And I had an opportunity to work on those things at a place known for being very strong at … [Read more...] about New York Times editorial board wants Pete Buttigieg to disclose his McKinsey clients following firm’s work for ICE

However, it hasn't been determined whether Mr Unsworth will have to pay costs, the extent of which is unknown but could run potentially run well into six figures. Unsworth has not disclosed if he has taken out insurance against the costs of losing.
