KUALA LUMPUR: The nursery where a four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the babysitter's 12-year-old son will be shut down, Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said on Wednesday (Jul 3). Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the Women, Family and Community Development Minister, told reporters at the parliament lobby that the nursery in Batu Gajah, Perak, is unregistered. “The nursery was taking care of eight children, and Welfare Department officers are now seeing how to care for the best interests of the other children as well as the victim," she was quoted as saying by the Star . “And we are in the process of shutting down the nursery." BATU GAJAH, Perak: A 12-year-old boy allegedly raped a four-year-old girl three times after being influenced by porn videos he watched on a mobile phone, Malaysian police said on Tuesday (Jul 2). Batu Gajah Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Adnan Basri said in a statement that the boy admitted to committing the offences after being questioned by officers. The girl had been placed under the care of the boy's mother, a babysitter. When she complained of pain in her private parts, the girl's mother took her to the Tanjung Tualang Clinic last Friday. After discovering injuries on the victim's private parts, the doctor advised the mother to lodge a police report, AC Ahmad Adnan added. The boy is being held under remand until Jul 5. SINGAPORE: A man who was arrested earlier this week for allegedly molesting six girls at Hougang Swimming Complex was charged on Wednesday (Sep 26) with molesting one of the victims. Job Mathew Panakkal, a 36-year-old Indian national, was accused of using criminal force on a 13-year-old girl at the swimming complex on Sep 12. According to the charge sheet, he allegedly stretched his hand and touched her right thigh while swimming past her, intending to outrage her modesty. He was charged with one count of using criminal force with the intent to outrage modesty, which carries a penalty of up to five years' jail, a fine, caning, or a combination of these punishments. The police said in a media release on Tuesday that Panakkal was identified and arrested in Hougang Avenue 2 on Monday. SINGAPORE: A man who had sex with a 14-year-old in various toilets meant for the disabled was jailed for 22 months on Wednesday (Aug 21). Muhammad Asraf Mustaffa, now 27, met the girl on chat application Telegram in February 2017, the court heard. The girl, whose identity is protected by a gag order, asked Asraf if he could be her "sugar daddy", and told him that she was not a virgin. They had chatted for a few months before sharing personal and intimate details with each other, and Asraf found out that the girl was in Secondary 2. The insurance agent had no prior sexual experience at this time and was curious about sex, said Deputy Public Prosecutor Asoka Markandu. Asraf asked the girl, who was 11 years his junior, out for a date in August 2017.
