When Mumbai-based content creator Aarti Khatukar started planning her first trip after a long period of staying at home, trying out a different cuisine was the first thing that crossed her mind. "I was done with baking banana breads and having the typical Mumbaiyya dishes. I had heard about a night chaat street in Indore, which had some unique dishes that sounded intriguing. After consulting with a few local friends there, I booked my tickets and landed in Indore. While I had read only about Sarafa, I got to know about the vast culinary offerings only after reaching there. It was not just the food – but the stories related to it, the funny antics of dahiwada wale, the spices that are native to the region and the colourful people making it – that caught my fancy," she shares.
