Thirsty Britons have jumped the gun on the next stage of lockdown loosening and are already enjoying drinks in beer gardens, terraces and outdoor seating areas. Young revellers in trendy London boroughs were today pictured sipping pints at socially-distanced tables outside venues selling takeaways. Landlords are currently only allowed to sell food and drink if it is consumed off the premises and measures are taken to keep people two metres apart.
