Lucifer got another lease on life after Netflix picked up the canceled series, and now fans have been given a sign of when the handsome devil will return. Lucifer has risen from the depths of cancellation and now Netflix has revealed when the handsome devil will make his streaming debut. Netflix revealed the big date with a steamy video and a message that Lucifer is coming in 666 hours, which works out to be May 8. The video message features Tom Ellis in the titular role as Lucifer rises out of the steamy waters of a hot tub. He’s wearing tiny swim trunks with “666” tattooed on him. He reaches for a drink and takes a sip, all the while with Lucifer’s characteristic twinkle in his eye. At the end of the trailer is the message “He is Risen” and the premiere date of May 8.
