Ilana Keller Asbury Park Press Published 9:41 AM EST Mar 5, 2019 Storied stage, television and film actors Alec Baldwin (“30 Rock”) and Anne Heche (“Chicago P.D.”) will reunite for a one-night-only reading to benefit Roundabout Theatre Company. The two, both Emmy Award winners and Tony Award nominees, among their other accolades, will join forces for ”Twentieth Century.” The pair were part of Roundabout’s 2004 revival, directed by Walter Bobbie, who also returns, Roundabout announced in a news release. More: Morrissey live: Broadway residency for California Son crooner Baldwin also starred in Roundabout’s “Entertaining Mr. Sloane” off-Broadway and serves on the company’s board of directors. “Twentieth Century” was written by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur, who both have ties to Nyack, New York. The longtime collaborators (“The Front Page,” “Ladies and Gentlemen”) are both buried at Oak Hills cemetery there. Additional cast and creative team members will be announced. Roundabout describes the comedy: “Bankrupt, with his career on a downslide, egomaniacal Broadway director Oscar Jaffee (Baldwin) boards the Twentieth Century Limited and encounters his former discovery and ex-chorus girl Lily Garland (Heche), now a temperamental Hollywood star.
