The event was held at Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre in China. Olympian Minh lost to No 16 seed Anders Antonsen of Denmark 21-16, 21-18 in 45 minutes. Minh had beaten Maxime Moreels of Belgium 21-10, 21-5 in the first round. The Vietnamese duo Bảo Minh and Dương Bảo Đức also lost to Vladimir Ivanov and Ivan Sozonov of Russia 21-13, 21-14 in the men’s doubles. The event will conclude on August 5. – VNS
