PHAM BINH MINH At the “Viet Nam Culture – Culinary Day” Celebrating the 45th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations and 5thAnniversary of Strategic Partnership between Viet Nam and Singapore ****** Minister Sam Tan Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Social and Family Development, Dear friends, Thank you Minister Sam Tam and all Singaporean and Vietnamese friends for joining me tonight to celebrate this remarkable milestone in Viet Nam – Singapore relationship. Forty-five years ago today marked the start of our bilateral diplomatic relations, which have now grown to become an indispensable strategic partnership. I am therefore deeply honoured to be here for this special occasion. Of the many times, this official visit is perhaps the most extraordinary. In this moment of shared joy, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the Governments and peoples of Singapore and Viet Nam, particularly all Singaporeans and Vietnamese present here, for all the achievements of the past forty-five years.
