Xbox teases new hardware to be unveiled next month

The gaming giant said during the E3 gaming convention in June that it was already working on the next version of the Xbox console, however it is not expected to be the hardware shown off at Gamescom in Germany at the end of August. In a blog post, the company said it would use a special event during the trade show to reveal “lots of news, all-new Xbox hardware and accessories, and features on upcoming titles that we can’t wait to tell you more about and perhaps even a few surprises”. Reports in the US suggest the new hardware will, in fact, be an updated version of the Xbox Elite controller – the high-end, customisable controller aimed at the more dedicated video games enthusiast.
