Vietnam made a 3-0 victory over Laos at Hanoi’s My Dinh station on November 25, moving on track for a semi-final berth in the 2014 Southeast Asian Football Championship – AFF Suzuki Cup. With Indonesia losing 4-0 to the Philippines, Vietnam now need only one point from the last group game against the Philippines to reach the semi-final stage. Earlier at the opening Group A match on November 22, hosts Vietnam held a 2-2 draw with Indonesia. The 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup is co-hosted by Vietnam and Singapore from November 22 to December 20. Games of Group A that includes Laos, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam are staged in Hanoi. Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, and host Singapore are placed in Group B. The semifinal and final games of the tournament will take place from December 6 to 20.
