‘Good Girls Go Bad’ singer Leighton Meester a no-show at People’s Choice Awards; Johnny Depp rules

Leighton Meester left fans with a lot to gossip about by bowing out of the People’s Choice Awards last night. The “Gossip Girl” star, who recorded guest vocals on Cobra Starship’s “Good Girls Go Bad,” was replaced by Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger for the night’s most talked about performance. The scantily clad Scherzinger changed from a sparkly gold number to a shiny black frock to front a medley of “Hot Mess” and the platinum hit “Good Girls Go Bad” with the band. Cobra Starship is perhaps best known for their debut single “Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)” from the “Snakes on a Plane” soundtrack. While Meester was a no show, Hollywood stars Johnny Depp and Sandra Bullock valiantly made the trek to LA’s Nokia Theatre Wednesday.
